When using a ball gauge to measure wear on valve guides, what type of wear would you expect? 1) more at the bottom 2) more at the top 3) equal wear all the way down 4) wear top and bottom, less in the center
OOPS! The movement of the rocker arm will cause the valve stem to "rock" back and forth, causing wear at the top and bottom of the guide. Overhead cam engines with valve followers lessen this type of wear.Ok Vince, so when are you going to give the answer?
