March 2013 Truck of the Month

Thats a fantastic picture of your truck Randy.
Thank you Mark. I noticed that my TOTM picture and your signature picture are taken from the same position and angle. I think it does show them off well.
Also the dog "driver" is Aidan my Border Collie. He along with my past three other dogs loves to ride in the truck.:)

Ryan, Roy and 1970Custom thank you for your posts.

Ryan, she has to me for sure been "an awesome piece of Ford steel!" as she is still a tight and solid truck after 38 years and 427,000 miles with most of that hard work.

Roy, I also drool over many of the trucks here at the FTF.:)

1970Custom, don't tell anybody... but I love and respect Bumps.;)

Randy, I gotta ask, is that factory paint or has she been repainted?

Brad, she was repainted once in June of 1989 with straight enamel paint.
Since that time I have given her a good wax job a least two or three times a year.

:drop: Every one of us is     over your truck Randy!

Hard to believe that you would kneel sucker to a truck that ain't orange and has no cab lights. LOL.........

Gorgeous color, much like Ford's new shade of yellow. And after I thought about it, I think I have asked about the color before.

No problem. It took me a little time to get used to the all yellow color. But in the end it has worked out so well for me and my grading business over the years. I never had to have business advertising signs on the truck, contractors many times would call and just say "Are you the one with the Yellow Ford?".

Picture of my truck just after I purchased it used in 1981 with 33,000 miles on it for $3,600.

Love the Pics and history of this rig Randy...Just goes to show how one can "work" their rig..along with keeping it in prime working order and condition for many yrs....This rig speaks in volume not only of the truck..but the owner as well...Great Job!! :)

Thank you so much Buzz. :) But I would be remiss if I did not mention what has also been so important to my trucks longevity, reliability and overall condition. The many mechanics and other specialist who have given my truck their expert care, attention, and advice to me, that have help me to keep her on the road this long and at a very reasonable cost overall. My truck and I have been so lucky to have had such expert care for so long.

Thank you bucks77... your comment makes an old man with an old work truck very happy and honored. :)

Mark.. I also have always liked the look of those hub caps on Argent colored rims and have never thought replacing them with something else. I guess we are very old school.:wasntme:
