Improved fuel consumption?

If you can get over 15MPG with these trucks that's pretty good. Heck, sometimes over 10MPG is good.

Buck, Im in real trouble @ 7.65 mpg.

My dad's friend had an '80s Ford truck with a factory 400 engine. I'm not sure what year it was. He only had the engine, rad with core support and rolling chassis. I stole the y pipe and exhaust before he sent it off to the crusher. I can't remeber, but I think all 400 are 351 with a stroker kit.
