Hood Release

Will not release hood.

I pull on the handle, no pop. Push down on the hood to make sure it isn't in-between, pull again, still nothing.

Suggestions?

Can't get any good help around here. I'll see if I can reach... nope. Danggit!

(I'll see what it does... somehow.)

You sure you didn't close something in the hood? Once I slammed it shut with a screwdriver on top of the grill and I had a real tough time getting it back open.

Mission complete; unsuccessful results.

I banged while having the handle pulled and got nothing.

This is why I like the dent hood release!

Last thing I did under the hood was jump it; the air filter intake tube may not have been put back in place, but I don't see how it could get in the way of the latch or any meeting spots of the hood.

I can pull the grille off without opening the hood; could I get to all of the latch components to just remove the unit?

Next update will be when he admits to closing the hood on something...

What are the chances the hood is actually frozen? Any precipitation down there in the last couple of days? I've had doors do this and dent hoods do this, ice will melt and run places...then refreeze sealing things closed that should open.

I don't think that is it since he said he had the hood open to jump start it but I guess anything is possible.

DING! DING! DING! Ladies and Gents, we have a winner! smilietease

I didn't put the air filter intake all the way down and it made the hood un-even, causing it to not latch properly.

Just used some more force with pulling the release and the outside release and POP! Nice and easy.

I also got me a new battery tonight and she started right up. I knew I'd have to replace it when I replaced the other, but I waited.
