Welcome aboard Tyler. I messed up and owned a chebby once. I learned as I got older. :p

Just kidding! Nice truck. I love the old iron. You'll have to keep us updated on any progress or plans you make. Also, tell us more about the Bronco.

Oh man those cars are worth some money now man. I really wish I was alive back in the day :D

No you don't. you'ld be old like me!

When I was in Jr. high there was one just like that in back of a service station. We would go sit in it at lunch. We didn't have a clue about what it was then because it wasn't a mustang camero or gto.

Those were fast cars. I think something like 13.5 in the quarter in the stock form. Not bad for as heavy as they were.

I wish I had that one back now. They are worth some big dollars now. It was just a car back then. Admittedly a powerful one, but...

It was only rated at 375 HP. ;)

I wouldn't call it better. The Vietnam war had been going on all my life.
I was looking at Combat Infantry Vietnam after high school.
LBJ had bussed us white kids to a black school and the black kids where making life a living hell for us.

The manufacturers under rated the HP and torque of the muscle cars back then for insurance purposes. I bet the HP was closer to 500. The torque was ungodly.

If it had better traction...oh my!

I could be doing 60 in 4th on the highway. Drop it to 3rd. Floor it and the car would slow down enough that it was almost sitting still. You could not see anything for the smoke coming off both back tires.

That was a bit much for a 14 year old. 'hiding_smilie'

Mine wasn't underrated it was overrated.

Top end was great about 135mph, but it would only spin the tire if it was wet.

None of this smiliepeelout

Oh... You quoted Robert's post where he said it was 150hp and then you said it was actually putting out 500hp...

That's why I was confused.

I was talking about the Stage 1.
I was not aware the LeMans was a muscle car.

Sorry for the confusion. :wavey:
