The new phonolic manifolds are junk, the early 4.6 ones had a phonolic coolant crossover and it splits behind the alt. My moms did, friends did, now its a alumumun coolant crossover. Just pulled a 5.4 one on a F150 that has an internal vac leak. POS if i say so. Anyway a 5.4 has a single butterfly tb.

Yea that's what i fured like the stangs do and did.....that plastic intake is junk...I've seen the ones for the chevies and what a pile.....

If you're talking about the LSx style manifolds, I can't see why they're junk. Plenty of guys running big shots through them with no issues, and they flow like a mofo.
