Tried cutting an X and then using a good sized cold chisel. Went much faster, but still a PITA. Stripped the doors today as well. Picked up a bunch of stuff for the truck, including an ignition switch from Dennis Carpenter....and for the record, it is a Ford part.
Last crossmember before the box comes off:
Lots of factory stuff still on it:
Window felts were dated 1978....Regulator and windows out:
Doors are completely stripped ready for the body shop:
Managed to get both woodgrain panels off without breaking any of the mounting tabs:
Going to hang on to the old door panels so I can drill the new ones out correctly:
Stuff I picked up on eBay...all Ford:
Inner fender:
Sockets, Headlight mounting nut, ignition bezel, turn signal switch, door and ignition lock cylinders, Int. wiper control, lit ashtray, under dash lights, radio bracket, cruise control chain guide, AC/heat/cool valve, heater/AC fan:
Hub actuators, ignition switch, headlight switch, headlight/turn signal wiring harness:
Cruise control servo, transfer case boot, WW motor, power steering hose, steering coupler, tailight:
Tailgate emblem:
