Yes...2.72 first and 1.54 second. The stock are 2.46 and 1.46.

That is going to crawl?

For more oomph out of the hole without going to a lower gear...there are 3.50's in it and at 70mph that should give me roughly 25-2600 with a 32 or 33 tire.

I really didn't want to swap the gears out to lower ones...this should be a good compromise.

I think it is a great idea and you get even more benefit in 4 Lo (in 1st and 2nd).

It will be like having a lower gear for until you hit drive. The gear set is around $5-600 plus installation.

Thanks Duncan. The rest of the stuff is the same as my D44, I just needed the picture of the axle shaft. I just wasn't sure if the shaft used u joints.

A single one..and just for interest sake, the MT14 in the 750 uses a double cardan joint...makes for very, very smooth operation.

A little progress over the weekend, got the other cab mount off, I'm starting to hate those rivets. I see there are a pile more for other crossmembers and spring hangers. Mufflers were a whole lot heavier than I remember mufflers to be, but they were welded together so that didn't help.

I have tried the air chisel...didn't do a damn thing, in fact...you can see it in one of the pics!

Yep, this is true! Buddy of mine and me put a 3" body lift on my previous 78 SC and the body bolts were a horrendous pain. He has every air tool known to mankind and in the end, we just took a torch to all of em. MUCH easier and since the rubber bushings were shot anyway, replaced those with polyurethanes
