I have also decided to go with Pro-Systems for the carb...the 830-840 mech. secondary double pumper.

Very nice, top notch for sure...that'll definitely live up to the task. I believe JBradley500 went with them for his build.

That rings a bell...and I think he was real happy with the product as well.

Yeah...he had the big black 79 250 on 39.5" Boggers, he was real active on the other site, and came over here for a while. Anyway, yes he was real happy with his. I believe he did end up with some overall fitment issues on the topend, but that was because he was mixing 351C intake parts with his 400 build...but nothing some spacing/grinding didn't fix...but not something you should encounter.

Awsome D!!!

Nicely covered teardown!

Even going form stock 160 to the estimated 300+ ponies I currently have was a divine exp., I can't even image how much of a beast that 434 is going to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plugs were in decent shape...one was wet...the closest to the driver...this was also where the most sludge in the coolant passages was...don't know if there is any correlation.

The offending plug that has been soaked many times and won't budge..also the same location of the block sludge...heat will be applied next.

Duncan #8 is the prime spot for sludge and plug fouling.

Especially on the 351M/400 do to the oiling system.

Hey guys....am I right in understanding that a seat up to 1996 will fit our trucks with no screwing around?

Bench seats from 73-96 are direct bolt ins.

Thanks Ben...I think I'm gonna do a bit of looking...my seat (the truck seat...just clarifying) is kinda saggy...and headrests would be nice as well.

You have to swap the floor rails, but it's a bolt in. I did it.

Actually the seat tracks from the later years have to be removed so you use the seat tracks from the 70's version
