Thanks fellas.

Cliff: the white was going to be nice, and would hide imperfections pretty well... but it made the truck resemble more of a work truck than a DD. The brown reminds me of the inserts on my old dent (I liked that color a good bit).

Got a good amount done (finally)! Need about another weekend's work on the cab. Then got to pull the hood and cowl.

A couple of coats on the truck now. Bed is also about done. I guess I should buy a buffer to finish it up, huh?

(Pics are after a sand and I hadn't cleaned it up yet...)

Austin I would let it dry or let the chemicals dry out for a couple of months before color sanding and buffing it out.

That'll give me plenty of time then! :D I had a month in mind, but a couple will do.

The paint cure well in that time. If you want to color sand add a couple or 3 extra coats and do 1500 or 2000 grit wet sand.

Don't think I'm going to bother with color sanding. The truck will be a 20-footer.

The better it looks the more $$$$$ at resale time.

Yea, but who knows how long I'll hold onto this one... I still have some nice plans with the interior.

When refinishing a boat with varnish, the old salts will tell you it's getting right when you can see the threads in the buttons of your shirt.

I guess I'll have to get me a button up shirt to work in, huh? :D

When I worked on gel coats, I'd finish when I could read the label on the buffer.
