Anyone try to order a part for a late model vehicle without a VIN? All the part #'s and build info is already in the system... based on the VIN.

The hardest time I've ever had with parts was for our ParaSail boat. It had a standard Mercruiser 7.5L with a Bravo III outdrive, but anywhere we went, "What is the make and model of your boat sir?". I'd tell them it was a Commercial Watersports Aerial Pro 30 and they'd look at me like I was stupid. I had one guy ask me if it was a Cigarette boat or cruiser. I said, it's a ParaSail boat. Duh, what's that? ROFLMAO Used to drive me nuts. I'd just say, look up the number for a '96 7.5L Merc, it'll work!
