My grampa has one of those retractable ones on his truck and he loves it. It has a box that the cpver rolls into and it has notches along strips attached to the bedrails so it dont have to be all the way out or in. It also locks so people cant get into it.

Aaron, you ever get my last (2) PM's? One was sent this morning. Never heard back.

He doesn't answer them...I sent him a couple three weeks ago...you think he answered...heck no...haha. So I'm in line before you.

Sorry guys. I just looked and saw I have like 350 PM's in my box and sometimes I read them and leave the site, forgetting to get back to them. Lemme have a looksee

No worries...mine were pretty pointless. Just had a couple guys ask me to ask for a couple threads to get cleaned up.

After having the cover on for a day I am really liking it. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend it to someone looking for one.

Here are some more pics.

Tailgate down, Cover on.

Latch assembly, cover closed.

Cover locking into latch assembly.

Latch assembly. There is a tensioner screw on the back to make the cover stretched tight or more slack.

NO DRILL mounting. 3 clamps thighten and hold each rail to the bed rail.

3 bars throughout the cover reso on the rails and support the cover through the middle. They stay attached and roll up into the cover when you roll it up.

Rolled up at the cab. The cover is secured by two straps that stay attached to the cover while it is installed.

Full access to bed with cover rolled up (Minus a about 1.5 inches on either side where the rails are attached.

Definitely diggin that Aaron...glad you're liking it so far.

He always responds when I PM him...

Maybe he likes your ...icles.

I have the same cover and its all how much lead is in my boots as to how my mpg goes...I love the look and havent noticed any differance in mileage when i set the cruise. Looks great on the truck Aaron!

Yeah what you're saying makes sense. Common sense tells me that tailgate down should beat tailgate up.. Even Jamie and Adam were surprised by the results. But they had a realtime fuel usage meter (physically measuring the amount of fuel being transferred from the tank to the injectors, in realitime) and all other conditions being held constant, the best mileage was attained with a tailgate net

It goes against common sense-- I know. But what do the mythbusters have to gain from disproving the "tailgate down" theory? [confused] Just watch the episode and maybe it'll change your mind.

Those things are pretty cool. Give an off roady look.

I'm very impressed by what I see in those pics, Aaron.

04FX4Driver (or anyone else who has one)- what's coldest temperature you've attempted to close it in? And how did it work- did the vinyl shrink to where it was a problem, or not?

Been there, done that, with the snaps in the cold. Ranger had one when I got it.

Not buying another snap-down tonneau.

I have used mine snapped/unsnapped it in the 5 to 10 degree days and have noticed it really doesnt like to stretch back out but you can get it done without spending alot of time on it. As for stretching, i havent had any problems with this one as of yet, some of the older ones i have had have streched out, but it was nothing Armorall didnt fix. If you notice any stretching just spray a good healthy amount of Armorall on it and let it sit in the sun or a heated garage it will tighten right back up as soon as the armorall soaks in - dont wipe it off just let it soak

emtzach

i get paid to do this
i cant remember, they were on a track the whole time i think. that doesnt give real world driving a chance when ure coasting down hill or behind someone less restriction AKA bed cover lets u lean into the gas less i do remember them being surprised tho it wasnt the cover that beat their test
