Even still you can do that just put the can on the fender and run the line from the can to the pump that way ya dont suck a bunch of old nasty gas into the carb and new pump.

Good idea, and may have to do that.

I'm not sure how bad the gas in it is, it had about 1/8 a tank that had been in there atleast two years, and it's had another 1/8th of a tank added to it..

Gas seems to do alright though, cause I know our Monte Carlo hasn't had gas added in 2+years, and as of 2months ago it would still fire right up no problems at all.

Ill bet cj7.

I'd say your right...

The problem is rust in those with that little bit of fuel if it aint had staybil put in it regularly then itll start to break down and the water will rust out the tank and steel lines. Then it sucks it right into the pump and carb.

Yeah, I understand what your saying... Don't guess it would hurt to put a fuel filter before the pump then, huh? That should eliminate the problem..

I guess I'll look to see if I have one around here somewhere, I'm pretty sure I do. If not, I'll just drop by the parts store while I'm out tommorrow.

If your not gonna put the new pump on then do one before and one after to be safe.

We are gonna put the new fuel pump on there, might as well I guess... and It's got a filter at the carb, but a fuel filter before the fuel pump is definitely something I'm gonna try to get dad to let me do..

Went over there today, and two trips to town, and 6 hours later, it's sitting in my driveway. We don't own it, but it's up here and got here under it's own power.

It's got a miss in it, but we are gonna check the plugs tomorrow, and see what kinda shape their in. You can tell it's got a bit of a miss at idle, and when going down the road it's really obvious, and It actually bogged down to a crawl, and then died coming up my driveway (talk about a nervous moment... after dark, no backup lights, 3/4 the way up the hill, and it quits ) It fired back up though, I dropped it in 1st gear, and mashed it to the floor, and it came on up, slowly and spinning a bit, but it made it.

Right now, it has a new:

rubber fuel line, going into the fuel pump.
Fuel pump
thermostat

It needs:

Back glass
Back glass window motor
Tailgate won't open
No brake lights/turn signals
When you dim the headlights the go out
and whatever else I can find out, I'll post up..

Anyway, here's some more crappy cell phone pictures.

Did your Dad order that Bronk? BTW, congrats on getting her to the house!

I wanna say yeah, he did... but I'm not sure.

And, I assume it must have a limited slip in it, cause I can see where I spun both tires all the way up the hill. 'hah'
