Cool. That hast to be a blast to cruise around in. Are any service parts available locally or is everything special order?

I think some of the generic parts like hoses, spark plugs, possibly some brake parts like pads/shoes/rotors... That kinda stuff can probably be bought locally; and even some other stuff can be purchased at local auto parts stores but they've obviously never got it in the STORE. Most everything gets ordered through Moss motors. I say that they're prices are nasty but they're really not THAT bad. And they're actually based out of California so I don't pay out the butt for shipping. I have to wait for the parts regardless of where I order them from so I might as well order them through Moss and get quality parts.

I trust their parts. Moss was the big-wig sponsor of many of the MG shows that we used to show the car in.

Lol who said I was able to bleed them VERY WELL?! :rofl2: Actually, bleeding brakes by myself turned out to be pretty damned hard. I bought this hose at Kragen that is supposed to be a One-Man bleeder hose. Has a check ball and a spring to keep the brake fluid flowing ONLY out and not letting fluid/air back in. Well hell it worked GREAT to keep fluid and air from getting back in, but it did a horrible job at letting any of the old fluid OUT!! :headbang: I'd crank on the pedal and not a damned drop would come out. So I switched to a straight piece of clear hose and did what I could. Bled the front ones well enough that I had plenty of pressure under the pedal to get back home from Tom's shop. I'll re-bleed them next time I'm up there and can borrow someone's foot.

Can't hurt to try it Chris. You just have to keep a eye on the brake fluid. You will have a soft pedal at first then it will get harder as you drive.

Something about that sounded dirty...

Yeah in hindsight it probably would have helped to use the gravity feed technique... Oh well... Next time I'm up there hopefully I'll just have a helper that can work the pedal for me.

That is how they did it on my dad dodge.

It works. It takes time, but when done properly it can be better than pressure or suction bleeding.

For some reason, the only way I could get a good pedal on my 67 mustang was to gravity bleed them. Never could figure out why.

How long did it take you?

Been a while, probably 9 or 10 years. I want to think about an hour but I don't know.

I've done the gravity bleed many times. If nothing more, gives a nice head start on the bleeding process.
