Oh man...that is fun...where I'm from, that's what a truck pull is...not a sled. Galloway's 4wd always has awesome truck pulls one in the spring and one in the fall. I gotta say alot of them boys in that vid have terrible technique.

When we do a truck pull here its usually me pullin out somebody else.

HAHA...I hear ya. But we usually have some pretty serious truck pulls...here's a link to their site:

http://www.galloways4wdcenter.com/index.php?pagename=show

Take a look through there...they're great folks, I was pretty good friends with the owner's grandson and am always around there looking for rims, tires or in their shows. They usually shoot me pretty sweet deals on tires. The last set of SSR's and rims I got for Thunder, they only charged me $750, and my last set of Boggers I got for Red, they only charged me $700. Gotta get back down there...Red and the Bronco need some tires.

How 'bout after the engine rebuild...I bet the Bronco's engine is so worn out right now, it's not even putting 90hp to the ground. Now if you wanna take either of the trucks on, that's a different story...I'm always game.

I will hook to somebody...

Me too...let's go...we'll each drive half way, just so we can pull.

Looks like a neat site there ben. Ive never done it before but it looks like a nice way to ruin the drivetrain.

Yeah it's really rough...they usually do a double elimination for that purpose, so folks can replace with fresh components. The key is, strong components, have a higher hitch point than your competitor, don't spin your tires and by no means hop...keep all the traction you can.

Jk man...
Maybe if you come down.

So what's our list up to now? Bacon Explosion, 'wheelin and truck pull...geez I may have to stay a while.

Sounds good to me...now I just need to set up the interviews so I have a reason to head down there. Looks like it's about 3-4m hours from Dallas right?

Who needs a reason. I wouldnt have tought a higher hitch point would matter. Weakest link on my truck would be either traction or front axle.

Rule of thumb, the higher your truck or hitch point is, the better. It allows you to lift the rear end of your opponent off the ground during the pull, which leads to less weight on their tires which causes them to spin. As far as traction...air down some, a soft rubber tire, wide tire and throw wieght in the bed...front axle isn't really the weak point unless you get lifted by the other truck or you start throwing a bunch of weight up front to gain more traction.
