Don... If it happens and I get office visits, it would be late March to early April.

Dan...some guys hook to a gooseneck hitch, and others use a normal 2-3" drop hitch, and flip it upside down.

That kind of truck pulling is the dumbest crap I've ever seen. Unless you've got GOBS of money and you're just DYING to destroy a perfectly good truck, it's dumb as hell. You don't even get to go fast or do anything cool! You just sit in one spot and rev you're engine real high until your drivetrain explodes. There's a video somewhere of a PSD doing truck tug-o-war and his front left knuckle just pretty much melts off the truck, its incredible to watch. Can't find the video.... But I stand by my word-- it's DUMB!

But don't take it from me-- take it from this guy:

But Chris...what about bragging rights? And prize money of course. Really all it is is a competition to see who has a bigger d*ck...you know what I'm sayin. I agree, it is pretty stupid, that's why I don't do it...but man it's fun as hell to watch.

Oh yeah, that video is pretty insane too.

Bragging rights aint enough to offset the cost and sadness of breaking a super built and expensive truck-- but maybe that's just me. Guess I've got more brains than pride

I dont think i would put big money into it, but if somebody wanted to hook up and tug off, i would be down, i will let of before i break, normally.

The big jerk is what i am having a problem with...

But really skan, any kind of competition is the exact same...

Good point...any competition basically started out who could do something bigger or better. Some folks say "Why would you wanna do a 1/4 mile in 4 seconds" others think it's stupid for competition rock buggies to comepete, and the list goes on and on. Really if you break it down, why make any upgrades to vehicles at all...because they are only allowing you to enhance the stress put on the vehicle.

I defy you to show a decent argument as to just exactly how lifting my truck a few inches or installing a few minor performance mods is gambling JUST as much as hooking up to another 500+hp truck and yanking as hard as I can. Aint gonna happen.

Its not... This is the point, its a competition.
Lifting your truck and having a few performance mods isnt going to make it blow up, but if you decide that you want to COMPETE with it, then you come into a whole new world...

Don nailed it for the competition world. I wasn't saying the minor street mods are as risky as the competition mods. All I was saying was adding anything beyond factory specs is going to wear out surrounding applicable accordingly. Then you try to beef up those components that wear out. So you could possibly be dumping money into a 'project' that someone else doesn't deem necessary. So to sum up, some folks see mods as necessary and other see them as a waste. It's all what you want to do with your money, and that was purely a response to these:

Exactly I put the roll bar in my truck one for the extra lights and two I like the way it looks. Will it support the wieght of the truck if it rolls who knows I dont aim to find out any time soon.
Don for the initial yank in those videos it looked like they already pulled out the slack in the line if thats what your worried about. I wouldnt sweat it very much I just pulled my moms totaled 99 350 cc lb off a trailer with no tires and had to yank it every time to get it to move at all. It didnt hurt my truck at all and I yanked it hard.
