I don't wanna jinx myself, but I had an interview with a cabinet shop in Crestwood today. Found them by fluke on craigslist and called them up. THey were looking for someone with some experience in Formica/Wilsonart and Custom cabinetry. Gee, guess who just so happened to fit that discription...me! well I went down there this morning about 6:30ish(beat the boss I was supposed to be meeting there) talked and toured the place for over an hour. He said he was VERY interested and would call with an offer by Fri. They offer a weeks paid vacation after 1 yr(never had that before!) and full medical and dental coverage(don't need it now so I'm gonna try and talk them into a higher wage) He made it sound like meeting the $20 an hour I was making before should be no problem with the experience I have.
They do alot down in TN and KY so I may have a few road trips down there later this year. They have contracts with the Rams here in town for all there stuff at Rams park and the dome, Sole contract with a upcoming cellular company in KY and TN for all there store displays and desks. They are also involved with a mojor remodel of a local police department and courtroom.
Oughta be neat to get into just cabinetry. Where before I did residential and custom cabinets. Anyway, figured I would give ya'll an update on whats going on round here.
