I, uh, wouldn't sell the F-250 too fast if you need transportation...that white truck is gonna take a lotta work and time to get roadworthy.

Good luck...should be sweet when you get done with it!

Ohhh crap I was thinking of the I-6 that's currently in the truck. Then yeah, if it's a 96-97 engine, it should be a roller block. Though I don't know if the rules are different for explorer engines.

Plus 5.0 HO are all rollers from like 86 on I think. Id like that engine for my stang. Lol. You def got some work on your hands. I Think you best getting the MAF, ECU, and harness from a MAF stang. Some are SD. My 88 is SD but there was some 88's that are MAF. Id go all stang stuff, so much aftermarket support and you can get it all pritty cheap, and for your info, the GT40 intake flows about the same as the Cobra one.

Roller cams don't require breakin... though the engine still does.. maybe that's what you meant.

And.. you need to use the actual flow data for the GT40 heads.. not some GM based wedge profile in DesktopDyno.. if you want accurate predictions. I get just under 300hp with that cam when using the GT40 headflow data. But that cam is a flat tappet so you'll want to use a roller cam.
