the fun"ness" of dropping a gas tank

I have a buddy at a local parts store up here im going to take it to, and he has a bunch of older fords, and so maybe he can match something up, im going to hit up the couple pull and saves.

I would think any pvc valve would work because they are meant to take fumes such as gas and suck them out by vacuum which it is hooked up to. So I dunno, i should do it the right way, i hate doing things twice lol.

Difference is that these are designed to prevent fuel from leaking out in the event of a rollover.

Okay so I found part numbers
E2AZ-9B593-A which is the valve that I need, it's new part number from what I gather is E7DZ-9B593-A which basically fits every ford application equipped with one. It looks like Ford updated the part number but I do not see any differences in the parts and it looks as if it does fit every application.

I also found the gasket number which is OLD E1FZ-9B076-A and it has been renumbered/replaced with F6TZ-9B076-AA

any truth to that Dennis or anyone else? That is what it looks like to me, and according to my local ford website they have them instock, so I guess i'll take my broken one in with me and match them up.
