Hmm! i'll have to hack it out thanks man.
Also when I do my system I want the pipes coming out in front of my back tires.

No problem, as Don said, pipes in front of the rear tire is no problem...it'll be louder FYI. I have that setup on my Bronco. I have behind the tire exits on Red and Thunder, but that'll get changed after I dig my way out of the go-fast parts receipts.

Hey Ben-- those pipe diameters you're talking about, those are for true dual setups? Like running dual 2.25" pipes or dual 3" pipes? My pipes are around 2" off the manifolds then they converge to a single 3" pipe.

Yes the setups were for true duals. Your setup sounds perfect. I'm not too sure on 2 into 1 setups, but as I've been told, you can usually add 1" to the single pipe over the pipe diameter of what I said for dual setups.

I agree you want to sound like EVERY OTHER TRUCK with an exhaust job. Go Blowmaster..

Couldn't have said it better myself

Or me, me and utfball are on the same page with this one. .

Glad to see there are other sane people on this site...haha.

Tex, with your 5.0, you will lose tq, if your pipes are to big, and if you are running 2.5 duals, you are losing tq.

Tex this is a much debated topic, but I agree with Don. Alot of folks say that the more free flowing and straight through the better. However, engines need some sort of backpressure, and if it flows too free, there's not enough backpressure and won't optimize your engine characteristics. I believe you eluded to this in an earlier post.

Well to each his own I can't stand the sound of glass packs they are annoying, I don't want my truck sounding like a Sumo with the wet shats.

Hey Tex...he's not saying (neither am I) you should go from Blows to GP's, just that there are waaaaaaaaaaaay better choices out there than Blows. Sure FM's are fine, but they rely entirely too much on high school guys who recognize the name and automatically think they're the best. FM's are waaaaaay overpriced for the quality and 'performance' they offer. I mean you have Aeromax out there...probably the BEST openly available MUFFLER out there. Then you have the Hooker line, gibson, magnaflow, etc. There are just better options out there than Blowmasters.

Yeah I know there is tons of other different brands out there and I know Cherry bombs makes other things then just glass packs but the super 44s are the only mufflers i've heard on a truck just like mine that I liked, all other old trucks i've ever run in to are all running glass packs and I can't stand how they sound.

looks like a you have a muffler for inspection, but its just a resonating chamber.

Some say it will "flow better" which is actually a myth.
If you want the looks of a cat or muffler, get a straight through design, with the enter and exit in line with each other, then gut the cat or muffler and weld in a pipe so it will flow better with out the resistance cause by the empty chamber...

Straight pipes FTW!
