Had skin grafts get darn close to that area, don't care to go any closer.

Carl, already took care of that concern... My old AZ uniform pants have some elastic for the waist band, and can be buttoned pretty much one handed... this won't be as simple when it comes time for the right hand though... I am strongly ambidextrous, but not quite enough to switch off easily for writing or other functions. I can write fairly legible with my left, but takes effort. Wiping my behind, more of an issue. Not to mention, the bandage stays on for 2 weeks. Washing can be a problem.

Put a plastic zip and tape it over your hand. I had to do the same when I had a skin graft as a teenager.

Glad it went well for you Roger - when you want to cover that bandage go to your local farm supply store or vet and ask them for some artificial insemination gloves that the AI techs use on cows - they normally come in packs of 100.
They will go right up to your shoulder and you can slip a rubber band around them to keep your whole arm dry.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

You can find a similar glove in the hunting departments. For field dressing large game.

I remember watching a vet do that when I was quite young. I asked my mom why that guy had his arm all the way up the cow's a**. The vet turned around and asked me if I wanted to try it.......I passed out.

My sister does some AI work, as well as preg checks, never really thought of the gloves. I found one of those draw strings with a kind of latch, worked perfect, used a bread bag.

As soon as I went to take my coat off, discovered the cuff is too small, so now I have to find something else to use in the meantime...

How true Tim, I don't tend to stay away too long. Pain is already way less today, as long as I don't try to hold on to my books. I was well reminded of the weight limit...

Coming along pretty good... typing is not an issue much, incision is still fairly sore. Stitches were starting to pull so I took them out last night.
