Strange Smell

been driving my truck around today.. ive been noticing a strangee smell from the rear.. i cant pinpoint it though.. im thinking my rear brakes are sticking.. cause ive noticed that when i release my ebrake and the truck is in drive, i have to hit the gas for it to start to roll... my other thought is the rear dif.. its been seeping and i havent checked it in a while..

what are signs for the rear diff? do they smell?

when i was just driving home, when i started offthe truck was "bouncing" per say, as if i was hitting the brakes on and off while hitting the gas...

Sounds like breaks sticking a little and the heat warping the drums causing the "bouncing"

I find that the brake cable start to hang up and cause this . Usually starts with slight grab of rear on wet roads.

But they can also get gunked up (brake dust ) Clean and check springs .

Or over adjust if you back up and touch brakes allot .

great.. it mostlike has something to do with the fact that i did a little brakestand last night.. why i did i dont know, but someone said i didnt have the balls to do it, now i regret it cause i screwed sumtin up...

but whats weird is i got that smell way before i did that.
