Sterling vs. Dana 60?

5.0

I have a D60 rear with 4.10 gears from a '78 F250. I plan to run either 33's or 35's.

Which is stronger, the D60 I have or a Sterling with 4L10 gears from the late 80's or early 90's? (What years were the Sterling axles used?)

If the Sterling is stronger, is it worth swapping my D60 for it?

Which is easier/cheaper to swap disc brakes on to?

I know there are disc conversion for the sterlings, all said and done like 300 bucks total.
Sterling will be stronger only problems i have ever heard of people having wit them are spinning the axle tubes. That was in high horsepower big tire applications though.

Agreed with Don. And that's the only problem I've heard too. Being an 80's that should be a 10.25 and not the 10.5. Either way, 9.75 vs 10.25...10.25 will win every time.
