Simulators vs rims

Okay, I don't like the steel rims on the truck. I've narrowed my options down to two choices:

1. E-Bay wheel steel simulators. They come coated in something shiney, and go over the lug.

2. KMC Rockstar Rims. Thinking black, to go with a black and white them on the truck. I will also need new lugs (Because I'm compulsive like that!).

Price for number 1 is $200-300, whereas price for number 2 after new lugs can be $500-650.

Thoughts?

I guess it comes down to price and what you want to spend. If you get new rims you also have to factor in the cost of getting the tires all swapped around. If it was me I would probably go with the simulators and save some money.

Can't forget that! So that's about $10 a wheel more, so $60.

Or just save up and then get new wheels when you need a set of tires. Then you can just do everything at once.

Seriously? Those are startin to wear off like Lambo doors. Every prepneck's lifted truck has them around here. Go with the wheel simulators.

100% agree. There's something to be said for a nice polished aluminum/chrome rim. Adds a little bling while remaining classy. No need to 'teen age punk it up'.

He sold the dent and now has a 1990 2wd F-Superduty.
