For another thread Ben. smilietease

Check this one out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...300793460545&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:MOTORS:1123 It is close to me, and much less distance to ship or come after it. If you should choose to get it, I can store it for you until you either can make arrangements for it or come after it yourself.

This one is just OK.....engine looks worn....do not like the no-tailgate thing and we'd have to sink quite a bit into this to get it close to my 77.

I like how this guy at least has a starting bid and an offer button.....hate it when there's a reserve...you can never know what the owner is thinking.

I re-read my post and didn't put in reason for the "drawbacks". Drawback meaning that parts are hard to come by if needed for those things mentioned, not because they aren't inferior by no means. For instance, the power assist steering if working properly will out perform the later style integral steering especially if off roading and turning big tires. Power assist is the next closest thing to full hydraulic steering, it's just the parts and rebuild is tough. The in cab tank can be a plus and minus. Only reason I changed mine out was because my new cab didn't have the fuel neck hole and my tank was crappy. I knew I couldn't find one new, so I just left it out. Maybe I'm missing something, but I didn't think my post was offensive or degrading.

Thats a pretty one. I wonder why he doesn't have A/C in it , being in Teas

Being black doesn't help the "no AC" issue.

^^^^That is one nice shortbox.

That's another thing....I think I'd like a long bed to match my dent even though the short bed may be a bit more practical for daily driving and parking and such.

Mark, this one is very close! Aside from the issues mentioned above, it is standard and we'd like an automatic....we may have a girl to pass this down to, NOT that girls can't drive a standard or that it's not ok for them, just normally, they prefer more of the comforts in life than guys.....most, NOT ALL! Just saying...

If it was auto, long bed, had AC, I'd offer him $8k and add about $2k in engine bay dress ups and a tonneau cover.....but aside from that....it's close...thanks!!!

Ken , You know how that Bronco is fun to drive ? The short beds are similar, with the short wheel base.

GREAT analogy....I think I'd like driving the short boxes....they just don't have the same look as a long bed.

That is true, but they are a bit more unique due to that. I like the long bed look as well, but I think my shortbed looks pretty cool too.

Sweeet Truck Very tastefully done! I like it and agree about the driving characteristics of a shorty,Well worth the asking price IMO.
