everybody feels good enough to pester the goosey! :p ohh btw my truck still has the stock radio. AM/FM with presets and a cassette player~!

I had a problem like that it was the speaker connections. They loosened up some how. I could bump the door with my hand and they would work for a little while!!!
could it still be the speaker connections if it happens at a stop too. it happened this morning, right after i started the truck - still putting my seat belt on and letting it warm up, then again like 6 times on my short drive to work (sometimes driving, sometimes stopped)

I believe it would be the "Past"!!!

I know a place that still has 8track tapes, but a very limited selection!!!:rolling laugh:

I wish mine did, mine just has vinyl, cassettes, and of course... CDs. I like 8tracks and vintage audio. I favor the analog reproduction over digital anyday. It sounds warmer. :)

.....and no CB! :rotz:

Probably the same radio that was in my truck, that is now on top of the car that I need to take pictures of for you at some point and keep forgetting to/putting off :)p)... I need to go do that... haha. :D

I have an Akai reel to reel with 8 track that can make 8 tracks! Anybody want me to cut some new 8 tracks? 'hippie'

There's a 8 track player in the Monte Carlo... I don't know if it works though..

Heck, I don't even have a radio in my truck... (yet)

(welll... I have the CB, that's technically a "radio")

:rolling laugh:

My joke was implying that Tom was living in the past, and thus casette tapes only existed in his FUTURE. You didn't get it smilieneenar

Is it only happening to some of the speakers, or all of them? I had this happening to one speaker and it turned out to be a bad connection at the harness behind my stereo-- I pulled the stereo and reconnected the harnesses and it fixed it. But that was just ONE speaker. If it's happening to all your speakers then I'd suspect the stereo... Thought you could try unplugging the main 2 harnesses behind the stereo and plugging them back in, then test it for a few days.

Mine was driving me crazy with uneven sound until I noticed when I hit a bump sometimes it got louder, then I hit the door panel and it suddenly got better!
That's how I found the problem!!!

it doesn't seem to happen predictably at all. it hasn't really bothered me for the last few months, then today it happened like 6 times on the way to work, none on the way home. i'll have to pay more attention to see if it sounds like one or all. either way, if it's a nice day i still might just put the one from the 97 in. it looks *slightly* more updated and provides all the functionality i need (for free)

And it should sound a hell of a lot better too.
