plastic gas tank info

they were all steel until into the late 80's as far as I know...

both of mine in the 93 are steel and i think both in my 97 250 were steel as well

I've found info for a plastic rear available, but not the front... it's possible, but apparently not real common. I have one on my 77, but it is a aftermarket add on, as it site outside the frame, and is filled through the fenderwell... that one has no working gauge, but not even sure it has a sender... haven't explored that, it has other bigger problems...
