Alright, I have a plan on figuring out where the wires for the new switch go into the connector, but the big question is, I am having a doosy of a time getting the old wires out of the connection. Just sprayed some PB Blaster all in where the connections slide thru to see if that takes care of the situation...

Also, I have part# C7TZ-12218A (cancelling cam actuator) that I have no clue how to install.. Again, if the original one is in there it will not be a problem, but I'm guessing it's not..

Help folks...

Steven

They make a connector tool that you just shove in and pull the wire out

Harbor frieght should have one for about $5.00

Yes, that's it....go get er

Cancelling cam.

There should be one already installed on the new T/S switch

Wiring :
wire colours should match the old

If they don't you may have the wrong TS switch.

If you have to take the wires outr of the connector, then you just have to replace the wiring like the old wiring.

If not, the diagram I posted should work, you match the number with the corresponding wire colour

The cancelling cam came separate from the switch assy.

unfortunately I cannot post pictures as my wife has the camera back in Mississippi. I got part# C9TZ-13341-C from C&G Early Ford Parts in California.

Here is the layout on the TS switch side. You must make note of what you have in the connector.

Does the new one have the same color wiress as the old one ?

That part number shows it is for 65-69 ONLY

Did you not tell them you need it for a 70 ?

what is your Vin#

My book shows a D0TZ-13341-A for a truck built after G30,001

Note:
The 69 TS switch allows for 6 wires and a seperate connector for 2 wires

The 1970 TS allows for 8 wires with one not being used

What I was doing was taking the connector from the TS side (the mechanic cut the wires about 3 inches from the connector I assume to pull the wires back out easily) and matching the color of it with the color from the old switch. Then, comparing where the wire from the old switch went to and finding that same wire on the new switch.

Here is the diagram I drew up the other night.

I didn't order the part, the mechanic did the same day he shipped my truck here. I called C&G and they said that part would also fit my 1970.

Not necessarily

The VIN# is what determines which one you need.

Does the connector have 6 holes or 8 holes ?

What is the last 6 digits of the Vin#

Here is the 69 wiring

On the right hand side you will notice 2 connectors not just One like in 1970
