New member with a mispelled name

Just getting started so I've not got everything personalized but want to jump in here and learn how to swim. I've had several Fords (Mustangs, trucks, vans, cars and explorers) over my driving carrier with an 88 F150 and a 92 Explorer V8 Limited in the stable at the present time.
I've started a project with the 88 by replacing the 5.8L with a 4.9L because the V8 had a knock and I knew of an 88 farm truck with only 10K on the engine but the body was rusted.
I've changed out the engine already but does anyone know how much of the wiring has to be changed, (everything plugged right up but have no power to the ignition module even though the engine is turning over)? I've looked through some of the forums but have not been able to find a post and would appreciate any suggestions for a good search word.
This looks like a cool forum looking forward to getting to know everyone.

You need the engine harness that is under the hood, as well as the ecm.

yep harness for sure . The 93 up had more wires for injection . But you should be OK with late 80"s ride and motor

Thanks flareside and lost added the wire harness and ran out of time I'll let you know how it came out tuesday night when I get a chance to work on it again.
