New member, HELP! Need to identify my big block!

Hello all! I recently purchased my first big block classic. A 1967 Ford F250 Custom Cab, with a ( I don't know ), and edlebrock manifold, a holley street avenger carb, four on the floor, and original black California plates! Totally stoked on my purchase, especially since I only payed $1500! H ahahah the kid I bought it from bit off more than he could chew. The four on the floor was too much for him! Anyways now to my problem. I don't know what size block this is! Helllllp! I know it takes almost 7 quarts of oil dry, 13/16" -18mm plugs, and these numbers stamped on it. I replaced the water pump, and it was for a 360. But I don't think that is it now. So please if you can guys, help me figure this out! Here is some pics of the block and water pump. I think it might be original to the block. Any and all info welcome :)

With those numbers, could be a 360, 390 or maybe 428..prolly a 360 as a guess.

Block is 1972 from the D2.

Pull a plug and measure the stroke...3.5'' is a 360....3.78 is a 390.

They share the same block. 352 if I remember was done by 67, 360 is the most common, and 390's would show up in 2wd but not 4wd. 352 was the base that started them all, and you will find a 352 cast into the block over the fuel pump no matter which size it is. Unfortunately there were no external identifiers to determine 360 vs 390. Measuring stroke is the only way. BTW, if you want the 390 over the 360, the bore is the same.

Not sure if I am 100% on this... It's been several years since I've messed with these FE engines but as I recall:

360 is a slightly bored out 352
390 is a stroked 360

Or more correctly the 360 is a destroked 390 as the 390 came first :D

352= 4.00 bore x 3.5 stroke
360= 4.05 bore x 3.5 stroke
390= 4.05 bore x 3.78 stroke

Clear as mud I hope
