Thanks I do have some questions about the ol girl and her 390. And she may be for sale some time to.

Is the engine original?...if so, it's probably a 360..unless it has been changed as 390's were never offered in a 4x4.

I learned this the hard way in a 1975 F250 I bought...the only real difference being the stroke.

Pretty sure it has been swapped out s the 390 a decent motor?

390 is a great engine.

Makes me feel better she needs some love. Seems to run good I have coolant siting on the intake in a couple spots and the fuel pump is dripping some. But she fires up runs and shifts nice. Man that 1st gear is LOWWWWWW. LOL pretty neat old truck

Probably a NP435 coupled with 4:10 gears....First was around 6.7:1....so pretty damn low with those gears...even lower in 4wd in Lo.

Ya she bites hard in 4x4. I hope she is a good truck for me to drive to work n snow days and haul some stuff sometimes
