the new replacement clear dome/map lens came today!

original opaque, dull white

side by side

dome light on, nice and bright!

looks good even when off!

thanks Duncan, makes a difference, still wonder why Ford didn't have a clear lens for the dome/map light? Only the base dome without the map lights had a clear lens option.

Doug, if you put an LMC part on your truck, I will have choice but to remind you of that fact from time to time when it pleases me

since it's just a lens, I don't mind it coming from LMC, but that's it. Haven't bought anything mechanical or metal!! I go to the wreckers and get that stuff.

It's all about knowing where to draw the line...

I've noticed that they have quite the **** reputation, but really wanted to have a clear lens, couldn't seem to find one anywhere else. Even at the wreckers, all the trucks always had the white lens, even the XLT Lariat.

Roy the new lens looks good. I will have to order one for my truck. Not my fault you bought the wrong cotton filled mattress (cheap imitations) for your truck.

BTW Doug I got the last NOS Sleep Number mattress made by Ford. Now I am looking for a NOS Tempurpedic mattress and Aero air mattress by Ford Also.

Cliff, you will need to get air shocks for the rear of your truck, those mattresses are a lot heavier than a regular. Doug will be fine, he has a 4X4
