I've kicked myself for getting rid of cars before too ..... hey why not keep your '87 if you haven't sold it yet and park it up out at your new work and build it up to something you'd like in your down time - i mentioned in another post that you could probably buy an dead car and use parts from the yard to make up a cheap runner to use for the commute - there's gotta be some perks in any job eh.

I think I'd miss it too.

That thing just needed to get the doors re hung, a patch panel for the rust spot and a little paint. It would have been golden.

i dont think i would EVER sell my flare.... unless it is a 2wd flare

Yea, i think we've all thought the same about a vehicle at one point in time. But things change and sometimes it needs to be done. Chris's story is a bit different but in principal its the same. Truck you very much enjoy, sell it, then regret it...

Hey guys:)
I'd owned a 1962 Land-rover for 21years!! I "loved" that British piece of aluminum and it was incredibly reliable and not a bad word about it!! Last year the "Ford Flary" came on my way and a bloke who nearly wanted to "lick"my Landrover, and showed me a lot of money for that 48 year old truckie.
I've had a lot of fun with the Laro but I do have no regrets about the swap.
Look forward and cherish what is behind. I'm 51 now and I hope to drive the Ford at least until my retirement.smilieFordlogo

best regards Ton

very true i remember when i "totaled" my truck everything was ****ed up front and i was going to part it out or trash it but instead built it back up too much blood and sweat and a grip of cash ANDtime was put in my truck, besides too many people wondered where my truck went

I think that's the important partsmilieFordlogo . Trade and sell, trade and sell, and in the matter of a few months you go from a sweet 88 and an 'almost there' flareside to the 87 and a sploder. Hopefully, lesson learned.
