ey is it possible or i mean "safe", to drive around with the hubs locked in, i got the 4x4 push button on the dash and i hate jumping out to lock them in and out all the time especially when theres hella mud on a trip. or could i destroy the front end or anything if i do that? top speed?

You're fine, just using a little more gas.

it's actually good to run the hubs locked for a bit sometimes, keeps the oil stired up inside the jack pot, and keeps th u-joints loose. catch 22 is that it uses more gas pushing it around, and wears out the tires faster

I'm no fan of running around with hubs locked in on pavement (read- I'd get out and unlock 'em if I was driving any distance in 2wd)...but my '09 Ranger 4x4 factory hubs don't unlock, ever. (Manually or automatically- they're just locked, all the time.)

Figure you had/have vehicles running around all the time that are/were full time 4wd, running like you want to offroad is nothing to be concerned about.
