Manual lock out problem

I have a 91 F250HD that the left side factory manual lock out seems like there is no friction when you engage the lock out. The knob just spins. Could something be wrong in the lock out? I assume that with the truck being a HD that it has the 30 spline axle. Is this correct? I have seen lock out rebuild / repair kits. What does these consist of? Any help will be much appreciated.

Yeah, the lockout is faulty. If you count your labor and the hassle, buying the complete lockout is the way to go.
