Looking to purchase 1977 F-100. Any tips/thoughts?

I have been eying up what I have been told in brief conversation with the owner is a 1977 F-100 single cab, short bed stepside. It was allegedly a truck/tractor pulling truck. It has a 460, 3 speed auto, and is allegedly a factory 4x4. I was told it was driven into where it was parked roughly 5-6 years ago. It is very rough, but what should I be looking for rust-wise/ common issues that I should keep an eye out for as I do live in the rustbelt. I only have one semi-blurry picture of it and I will include it here. It does look like it has had bodywork done in the past, however I do know it has a hole in the windshield and it has some sort of sunroof which I'm sure leaks.

Front cab mounts are a common issue. Not sure how well the ladder bars will be on the street.
