Largest tire on stock wheel??

hello, and im sure that many people have posted this before me, and i apologize for that but what is the largest tire size that i can fit on my truck without ANY rubbing at all or lifting the truck?? i have a 1996 F-150 2wd with 15 inch wheels. Right now it still has the factory tires on it 235s. I've heard that 245 is the biggest i can get without lifting it and i've also heard 31s.

It all depends on the truck as not every truck sits the same.....I've seen guys throw 33's on a Gen 9 2wd and have no rubbing other than turning full lock. I think I'd play it safe and go with 31's or 32's....

If you don't want any rubbing, stay with 31's. If you go with a 31x10.5, then the sidewall will rub against the radius arms at full turn. Most people don't make wide turns, so it's not usually a problem.

it all depends on how much your suspension is worn.. the 88 i had had 265/75/15 tires on there (equivilent to 31x10.5) and i had no issues... and it looked great!!!!

if your suspension is worn then i would go with something in the 30 in. range and bout 10.25 wide...

pics for example...
