Sorry... but you should, a well built C-6 with a trans-cooler can handle loads easily over 10,000 lbs and a stroked 460 with around 650 lbs. of torque. My C-6 has now lasted for over 22 years and 230,000 miles of work and play.

I agree....my automatic is rated for 80,000# truck/trailer.

I just dont know if ill ever get over my fear of automatics and loads over 3500 lbs :)

I've pulled more than that with a 302/AOD and done just fine...

I agree....my automatic is rated for 80,000# truck/trailer.

Assuming your talking about an Eaton XX speed autoshift....thats not really fair seeing as how they are basically an XX speed manual with a computer to float your gears :)

I compare apples to apples...that is a 100% automatic 5 speed
