I'm with the idea of using the Bronco carrier, OR go for the swing away carrier like a lot of broncos had.

I just have not figured out how to get rid of it yet.

Take it out...

another off-the-wall idea...
a roof rack/basket with the tire in it - some spotlights on the front of it - sexy

i like how i've come up with 2 $500+ ideas and you're looking for a $20 piece of steel to bolt it to

Crap... Yeah those options won't work.

I was talking to Brad about it anyways and he thought a spare in the bed would look goofy... The more we talked about it the more I kinda figured it would too... I MIGHT be able to fit a 33" tire under the truck. Right now it's got a 29" tire and theres plenty of room on all sides. Tom up the street has a bunch of spare 33" tires already mounted so I might use one of those to test fit a few things.

OR what you could do is go the old land rover or VW style and mount it on the front grill and or on the hood ;)

It could be worse Chris. Where do I mount a 38 inch spare??? :D

On the roof rack of course. Along with your high lift jack and other off-road tools. That way you can mount forward and backward facing off-road lights too. :D

Yeah, but have you ever tried to throw a 38 inch tire on the roof of a truck that is lifted enough to clear them? lol

Last spring when I went to get my snow tires taken off, I carried both mounted snow tires and both unmounted all-seasons in to the tire shop in one trip. Yet another advantage to my tiny truck, I guess... smilietease
