How to best remove gas from tank

1992 F150.5.0 XLT
I'm having a problem with no flow from my rear gas tank. I'm thinking the tank has to be removed. It has gas in it that has to be removed. To remove the gas,

will a squeeze bulb siphon type work?

Is there a theft prevention screen installed in the neck somewhere?

How do you guys do it?

I do it the dangerous way...get a hose that will fit, work it down as best you can, take a couple big sucks (go ahead and sig that somebody), get a mouth full of gas, let the gas run into a gas can. Get dizzy, take a couple shots of vodka to get the gas taste out of my mouth. It doesn't get all the gas, but it'll get all but the last couple gallons.

You get a better buzz my way.

So I can call you when I find a truck with 10 year old gas in it to suck it out?

See, that is the key... rusty bolts are the norm around here... only way they aren't is if someone just brought it up from the southwest... I tried to take mine loose once... not gonna happen until I have to change the bed...

Go with the electric pump and hose trick unless someone will volunteer to suck the old gas for you or unless you like the dizzy part. It is kind of fun just the throw up part really sucks milk doesn't work at all.

I have run a siphon hose into the tank, then taken an air line with a blowgun at the top of the filler neck sealed with a rag...pressurized the tank and it flows out the siphon hose.

Well I'm not exactly sure I'd do it for you...but I have done it before. Last time I did it was on a 78 Waggy I wanted, had been sitting for 7 years and you could smell the skunky gas from 20ft away.

Thanks for the tips.
I do not have an extra pump around. Wish I did. I have about 10 gallons in the rear tank.

Is there a anti theft screen in the filler neck of my truck?

You can get a pump from the chain parts store.I got one from O'Reilly Auto for about $6-7.00 and it will clear the anti theft spring.

We don't have that store around here. Do you have a brand name and part number for the pump you are talking about?

Wow, that was quick. Thanks.
