High dollar NOS grill shell

Sold on ebay for $718 plus $78 shppg. Dennis Carpenters' probably going to raise his prices now

Ouch...that thing went went for $118 more than I thought it would. The NOS market for these trucks never ceases to amaze me.

Well I wouldn't exactly call it dumb if you want something straight from Ford. I would expect some people say the same thing when comparing the $100 chinese grille shells to the $550 DC grille shells.

Yeah but its still 200 bucks more than a DC grille which is basicly the same minus the age.

Very true...and I agree with you. But there's a very select niche out there that prefer to deck their rigs out with NOS stuff. And it's to be expected that something still in the box from Ford will AT LEAST go for what the best aftermarket stuff is going for.

Well at least have a deep rebuild fund...and don't forget a very understanding wife. But seriously, you see this display in just about everything...currency collecting, art collecting, coture collecting, comic collections, etc...originals are always worth more than reprints/second issues/reproductions/etc.

Yeha but its a truck unless its gonna be sittin in a glass case or in air tight garage itll most likely get dinged and dented and corroded and that just dont make any sense.

To bad they aren't available yet in the aftermarket. Incorrect aluminum material means no reproduction shells till they figure it out.

Good I can probly find a good one on another truck around here. If not then maybe Ill put a 68 or 69 grille on it.
