By '91 they were making LOADS of Explorers.

Thing is, they were midsize SUVs, not a trim line on the fullsize pickups.

I'm not remembering seeing black debossed lettering on a chrome badge anywhere on 'em, but the font looks right. If those are NOS, I'd wager they belong on one of these:

IIRC that isn't the correct font for an Explorer but I could be wrong.

I found these on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...witem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_989wt_1165
They look like fender badges for an 87-91 but I wasn't aware that they made an Explorer trim during that generation. Are these things real or is this guy just blowing smoke?
Another clueless ebay seller. No such thing as an Explorer nameplate listed for 1987/90 F150/350 // 1973/86 F100/350's used D3TZ9925622D .. Explorer Nameplate. This ain't it.

This is: F1TZ7842528A .. 1991/94 Explorer (base model) TAILGATE Nameplate (This is not a fender nameplate-there isn't one listed for 1991/94 Explorers).

The Blue Oval emblem (F2TZ9842528A) is a separate part, was used in conjuction with this F1TZ7842528A nameplate 1992/94.

I've seen this cluck's ads before...has supposed NOS parts, but doesn't list the part number on the package.
