Looks great Ken !

Use some of this on the frame and let me know how it works. http://www.amazon.com/Boeshield-Corrosion-Protection-Waterproof-Lubrication/dp/B001447PEK

I want to use it on my boat trailers that are continuously submerged in salt water .

Wow Mark....that stuff looks awesome!

My plans for the frame were in this order:
1-wire brush and brillo
2-degreaser-think I might skip this because there's not a single drip or seepage anywhere.
2a-pressure wash
Dry 1 or 2 days
3-eastwoods rust converter (totally in love with this stuff-amazing)
Dry 1 or 2 days
4-torn here, either a) eastwoods rust encapsolator undercoating, b) amsoils heavy metal protector, and c) now that boeshield stuff,,,,,or a combination

Goal is to get a good solid 6 or 7 major maintenance-free years on this rig...maybe more.

ABSOLUTELY! Thanks. Although with taxes and these tax vehicles....it may be a little light for presents on Christmas day. :)

So started working on wifey's car and am super happy with what we found.

My mechanic stopped by to work on it....took the running boards off and started cleaning the rockers and prepping the frame....got my hands dirty but I really like doing this stuff.

I crawled under and used a drill with a wire wheel and a wire brush and just went to town.....found out how solid everything really was down there and was super happy!

Next we took air compressor and blew everything. ....then went crazy with eastwoods rust converter.

Now to let it dry and then rust encapsolator maybe tomorrow or Tuesday.

Then either Marks suggestion or amsoils hdmp.

Ken, I read one guys report on the Boeshield. He said it was gone from his boat trailer in a couple months.
This might be typical of these products.

Thanks Mark.....amsoil stuff has lasted me 2 winters (with a little touch up in between). It's a wax so it doesn't stay on forever. I plan on spraying annually. Of course thats on a vehicle....not a boat.

Oh the mechanic and I surmised that the flaw in the expedition rockers were the running boards....it actually keeps the salt and calcium packed snow and slush from falling off.

This is why the rest of the vehicle was super solid underneath and the only issue was isolated. We're going to use the existing runners through this winter and repl5the with bars next spring.

Ken check your pm's!!!

What's the difference between the 5w20 and 0w30 and would it be ok to use either in the Expi or new 150? Website is saying 5w20, but last time I spoke to them a year or so ago, the 0w30 was the choice for later model cars....is that because I'm in the north east? Thanks Chris.
