Hello folks. ICM 1995 f250 7.5l 460 gas

Hi, my engine just quits. I gave it a tune-up, it runs nice but still quits. I installed a new DY1077 black ICM. The truck ran for about 20 mins and quit (but the ICM got way hot). I installed another with thermal paste on the heat sink and the heat sink on the fender wall. It stayed cool and again the engine ran nicely for about 20 minutes and quit again. Turns over and will not start. Before I install another ICM is it possible for the pickup coil to cause the ICM to fail? I think its either the pickup coil or that the PCM is causing my ICMs to burn out. I suppose I could buy all three and install them and hope for the best. Is there anything that could cause ICM units to fail if properly installed?
