Ok I bought a 73 cheap. It has a 360 with 2 burnt valves. Both rear cylinders have bad exhaust valves but otherwise the truck runs good, no noise, no smoke good oil pressure. A buddy of mine has a set of completely rebuilt 390 heads. Are they interchangeable? I am also going to remove the heat risers from the exhaust manifolds and the EGR valve.

As far as I know they are interchangeable....the difference is the stroke.

Great thanks. Everything I have found says so plus they have new valves and seats.

Heads will swap. The bore is the same,so the valve size will be the same. Only real difference as noted is the stroke.
