Head Plugs?

Well i have my cylinder heads off and i see now where the "Thermactor" System plugs into. Now i see how it runs from the back of the heads, to the air pump, and to the vacuum canisters on the wheel well.

On a side note. I went to take the accessories off the passengers side (Alt and Pump) Well the tube wasnt even hooked up to the air pump.... So what do i have to do to get rid of this. I know plug the back of the heads with a brass pipe fitting and Red RTV. But what about the air pump? I know some people use a pulley, and summit sells them. But what can i do for just leaving it there? Anything i can plug up?

I used 5/8 course thread stainless bolts with copper rtv to plug mine...the air pump doesn't rob much power at all...no big deal if you leave it as an idler...someone on here has pulled it apart ripped the impeller teeth off regreased the bearings and put it back....

My air pump wasnt even hooked up anyways. I was undoing the bolts for the accessories brackets and noticed the hose off. So if i eliminate that, plug the back of the heads, and then i can delete all the canisters on the wheel well and everything will run ok? Not like it was working anyways

Pretty easy..there should be a three set of lines all hooked together red and black plastic lines that go from the vacuum tree on your intake to the controls box on the firewall under the hood...just make sure they're hooked up.....get a good manual and find the schematics..it's been awhile and I may be forgetting sumthing....

Hooked up to where? There were im thinking 3 vac lines pluged into all the tubing. What do i do with those?

Remove them that's all. They go to the control solenoids right next to your coil.

No vac leaks then and il still have my vent controls and everything? And i just leave the air pump there, not looking for the HP aspect but more for the looks. that crap was just hangin anyways.

exactly...I deleted the coffee can and everything from mine....one of the easiest ways is probly to start by removing the smog stuff you want to remove and plug or remove vac lines as you go along....that way you can be sure on what you're removing.

They sell cap assortments at the parts store little rubber caps...clean job and it's alot safer than a piece of hose with a bolt/screw shoved in it.Ay my parts stores they are usually near the fluids/filters area.

Mine looks exactly the same...execpt I never had that black tube goin over the top of the intake to the blower area...but other than that...exactly how it should look.
