If they could be rift, the tailgate wouldn't hold up... they just aren't built as well after the 70's. I had to fix mine due to all the spot welds tearing out. Then, I used it as a work bench when I was hailing scrap from a filed, and it is bowed a bit now....

:) thanks! ya it gets used! I have no problem hauling with the T-18 trans and 4.10 gears :guns:

I have been weighing the idea, did you just do the bottom? or the whole inside box?

here's some pics, I went up the sides to just under the rails, didn't care about looks as much as protecting the metal. Used a 3" "stiple" roller, I believe they are called.

Hey, thanks! :wavey: to bad you couldn't color match the product to the paint of the truck, that would be cool! Hmmm, orange bed liner...

ask and ye shall recieve:

it's a little spendier than the Herculiner, but you can order with or without the rubber texture, and I believe you can order it with a UV fade prevention/additive. Used it to do the rocker panels in grey on my Ranger, good stuff, and comes with the roller thingy.

Rhino lining can also be color matched. spendier I know. Keep it up Roy! Looks good. And no, it doesn`t ride like a one ton, ask me how I know.

 Mine rode pretty good when it was a 250. Now it`s a 350 in the front, and the little woman can barely get in, (not neccasarily a bad thing), and the ride stinks. But I digress.

How long has it been on and how is it holding up ?

it's holding up well!

meant to get some pics, standby...

oh, and applied it in the fall of '09, still looks good.
the 1 ton I used Herculiner on, was fall of 2011.

my ride stinks too! (but I disagree also )

have to post a video driving through the country roads, if I can hold the camera steady, lol!

I`d like to do a rsk with some Super Duty springs, but the new spring bracket and the plow mount are going to want to share the same real estate. so we`ll see.

No pictures but back when I had my '93 F150 I hauled a load of concrete mix back to the place of purchase. 45 bags x 80lbs in a half ton...

Here's my old '72 hard at work. It also is hauling a TON of weight.

^^^Agreed. Eric, based on the number of bales on that truck and the average weight per bale, I'd say you had more than a ton on that truck?

I'm guessing there's at least 36 bales on that truck. Can't tell if he has 6 bales or 8 bales on the bottom.

If you assume a weight of 60 lbs per bale(which is light), then that is 2160 lbs.

I wore out a '58 1/2 ton Ford hauling bales for two summers to people with hobby farms that couldn't haul their own hay.

I figured about 34 . But taking into consideration the time of year it is in the picture, (if )those bales have been sitting out in the weather they might be a little heavier than the 60 lbs dry.

Now lets guess how many jelly beans are in the jar and how much it weighs.

Are the jelly beans wet or dry? My head hurts already from all that math. I'll wait for the answer.

They were between 50-70lbs 8 on bottom row including talegate.

It did pretty good for a 302/C4.... also, I was a one man band with the loading and unloading that day...

Jelly beans, doesn't matter how many are in it, I will have it empty in 30min or less...
