Never got any recalls for anything lol. Just my mom with her 96 Grand Marquis for the cruse control bullony.

Had a recall on my parents 04 Grand Cherokee because the butt warmers were lighting seats on fire in some vehicles, so they did a recall to check for excess material by the warming element... [confused]

LOL! I'v heard of seats getting hot and it feels like it's burning (done that myself) but, when it actually sets your @$$ on fire, that's a little to hot..:rotz:

Well at least it was a Dodge product....:headbang:

I'm as big of a Ford fan as anyone here, but I do have to say that Gen10 F150s catching their engine bays on fire, and the whole Pinto debacle, were much worse than an isolated incident of a toasted seat because someone left their butt warmer on.... :p :D

I keep getting recalls about the ignition on mine because of the poorly designed internals of the steering column, a connecting rod to a switch breaks over time and wont go to ACC, which requires fixing every few years. Not a big deal, I have only done it like 5 times... :p

It sucks too, because you have to take the whole steering wheel off, the column cover, and the ignition unit out.... :guns: :rotz:

I saw a new 07 Chebby HD go up in smoke (quick) 11000 miles he parked got out and she was smoking. They all have issues.

I hope you had the Speed Control Deactivation harness recall done (cruise).. it is pretty common for the SCDS to leak and you will need a new SCDS...

Unfortunately, they can't check for excess material ON the seat, ROFLOL.

same here with the cruise control.

mine hasn't worked since i bought it (may 08). i'm hoping ford just disconnected it and that would be the reason it doesn't work. otherwise...more work for me. i'm going to try to take it in next week.

for a while when the recall just came out they unplugged it and put electrical tape over the connection until the parts were in...

and also to Reiterate, there was a recall on a recall too.. mainly on the vans

i remember that. i'm hoping whoever owned it before just unplugged it and never went back to get it fixed. i just haven't been motivated to find the problem. the recall didn't even cross my mind

quite a common occurance believe it or not.. people buying used cars (ford) and cruise not working.. recall part was never installed and the wire disconnected

My cruise control works, but then again I have a Gen8...
