Anthony.. I suggest you not get too cocky...

I don't take smart ass comments from kids very well

I have forgotten more in the last 5 minutes than you know.

It wasn't the computer... it was my leaning over and trying to type one key at a time.

Watch out I may make it to Los Angeles this year ;)

Truth be known I admire Anthony for wanting to be part of the automotive community.
Anthony, did you look up the word Zealous or better yet over-zealous ?

The only problem I have is that it appears he needs help interacting in social environment around adults in a NON-Zealous manner

This is something parents/other adults are supposed to guide children in.I
MO, his Dad needs to be more involved in his life in a structural way emphasizing other youth related things, like Sports,GOOD Friends and Girls.

Sports as you know, teaches kids how to be part of a team, instills a mentality with SHOWING respect toward others.

Listening instead of talking.

Now for something Dentside related :)

Ford really screwed up in having so many different Front bumpers from 73-79.

Was it the design team or the manufacturer's fault ?

From your post, I'm guessing dentside bumpers are an issue many people already know about, but I do not. Are the bumpers not interchangable? Or is it only an issue if you want the "correct" bumper for your truck?

The advent of the F250 up to mid year 77 (called the Highboy) with its narrower frame caused a problem for people looking to replace them from junkyards and regular F100's and F150's ,

I'll show you a list of front bumpers for these trucks.

Note: Fuel tanks was another problem

Yes, I agree with all this. These 2 issues were actually the biggest PITA of my project. I wanted a rear tank, but since Ford never put these in the highboys, I had to order a special one for the rear that had a design flaw and had to modify the filler neck in order for it to work and until I get my bed on, still don't know for sure if I have it right. And of course no one makes an in cab tank for these models unless you can get a 67-72 to work. I don't want an in cab tank anyway.

AFA the bumpers, not a problem getting a new bumper for the highboys, but locating the proper bumper brackets for the highboys was a problem.

Not to mention all the different brake pedal setups.

I never knew the highboy had a different front bumper than the other F sereies trucks. I thought it was just the rear bumpers where frame witdth became an issue.

Now--how about 78-79. Are any and all bumpers interchangeable for all F 100 thru 350?

What about bumpers from '80 and up on our trucks?

Front bumpers are interchangeable through the years. The highboys just had brackets on the front for the bumpers and everything else the bumpers mounted to the frame itself.
