What'd you hit a pole or tree or what?
How fast were you going at impact? :/

I'd use that one for parts after getting another truck just like it.
(but with a nice straight frame;)

I was drunk and don't know the speed these old trucks are hard 2 find around my way and I love this truck, I'm pullin off the front clip tomarow ill c ho much frame damage there is but it looks strait behind the sispention

Yeah, "straight-enough" to one guy can be "crooked as hell" to another
and neither one is "wrong". Depending on the vehicle and the situation
I've been in both camps at one time or another.

A daily driver or a highway vehicle it pays for it to be as straight as is
possible to get it, is my opinion. YMMV

-------------------

Got a story about how the back corner of my '91 was sagging about 1".

I made a 3/4" spacer for the leaf spring pack but it was kinda tricky to
fit it good so I "slopped" it and put it on top of the thick factory wedge.

The factory wedge is about 1" thick and 7 to 8 degrees (measured).

You can see how that would move the position of the rear axle on that
side to the rear slightly right? And also how it'd be at an angle from the
frame (if it was square before). See it? :)

Thing steered like crap! :/

Yep I rechecked the toe-in and yep when I re-did the spacer placement
(fixed the locating pin problem) and put the spacer -under- the factory
wedge ...it fixed the sorry steering -back- to good -real- good again...
just like that.

No kidding.

Now the short wheeled based Bronco is more sensitive to that business
than a pickup but still, it doesn't take much to make one drive like crap.

My dent's future is a modern driveline. I've had this truck since 1978 :), sitting since 1997 :( and hopefully 2012 is the year it gets its rebuild started. Other projects are in process, but the planning can start anytime.

I`ll take the black and silver plow truck.:wasntme:

I`m assuming those cabs deserved that fate. It`s hard to tell from the pic.smilietease

from the pics, they honestly look pretty good, but who knws

I plan on putting the rest of the bottom/rocker trim on mine, put the xlt tailgate trim on it, keep care of it and drive it till its wore out, then repair what's needed.

some of them are getting parted out...yes I removed all the good parts from those cabs that went to the scrap yard, the blk/slvr trk is getting cut up for the frt. d60 for my 78 supercab and a utility body trailer, I have another f250 reg cab and supercab that are next on the chopping/part out block, when I get a chance my 79 f250 s/c is being parted out to make a 1ton 4wd s/c from a 78 f150 4wd s/c, plan on d60 frt and d70 rear diffs

the pics are deceptive..if they were worth it I would have had 2 crews instead of just focusing on the one crew...which is taking way too long to finish as it is..:(
